2022 | Promotional Identity and Website

This promotional identity and website were created for the all-day yoga event Pilosa in New York City. The identity is used on promotional material such as social media and posters. Calming tones and imagery are used throughout to connect to the break that the event is supposed to give participants from the city. The identity is then carried into the website, and the identity directly influences other aspects of the website.

Social media is a way to communicate with the population of New York City for those who do not frequent the subways or parks where print advertising would be implemented. Social media is also a great place to introduce notable session leaders and teasers to parts of the event.

To reach those who are in the deep hustle of the city, the subway and on the sidewalks, promotional advertisements of the event. These advertisments have large images of the mascot Oliver in various yoga positions to grab your attention.

The website for Pilosa is a hub for information on yoga and news about the event. There are separate pages for information about the event, styles of yoga, session instructors, contact, session schedule, and meet Oliver. The website was designed in Figma and then coded on a boilerplate using basic HTML and CSS.

Pilosa is an annual day-long yoga event in Central Park, New York City. With different styles of yoga offered in different sessions throughout the day of the event, it meant for any person to take a break from the city's hustle. With the mental and physical slowing down, the mascot, Oliver the Sloth, is implemented in the identity and marketing material of the event. He has seen in a variation of the Sukhasana pose in the primary logo, and in the secondary logo his head replaces the o in “pilosa”.
